The Great Puget Sound
Sunrise Beach, just north of Tacoma, has a sandy bottom and rock reef that provides ideal habitat for octopuses. The deep cracks and crevices of its sheer face afford octopuses and wolf eels alike a place to rest safely between rounds of their never-ending shellfish hunt. Wolf eels are almost as fascinating as octopuses. The closest thing to a puppy dog you may ever find under water, wolf eels at some sites in the Northwest are so accustomed to people that they happily greet divers when they enter the water, wagging their tails in anticipation of a crab hand-out.
Getting into a Wetsuit Compliments of Rodale's Depth Finder
Have you ever tried to get into a wetsuit that didn't seem to want you in it? Here is a tip that will give you the advantage and allow you to slip into it as if it were made of satin. You know those plastic bags they use at the stores to put your groceries in or whatever? Simply put your foot in the bag and pull the bag up over your leg as far as it will go. Then just pull your wetsuit on over it - the neoprene slides over the plastic easily. When your foot pops out at the bottom of the leg, simply pull the bag out, and presto, you are one quarter of the way done.

SCUBA Diver Class :
Offered every month (except December), 4 weeks long, includes 4 classroom sessions, 4 pool sessions and a two day open water trip to the Puget Sound for certification. Advanced SCUBA Class :
This class is offered monthly and consists of 1 classroom, 1 pool and a weekend of 6 dives in the Puget Sound (Including 2 boat dives). It is a great way for a new diver to gain valuable experience, or for a veteran diver to get back into diving. Next class begins November 16, 2004.
Master SCUBA Diver/Dive Rescue :
These classes are for those who are interested in certifying to the highest non-leadership level. They are intensive in both book and pool work. Check Outs are usually 3 days of diving. If interested, please attend the informational meeting on November 4, 2004.
That's right! After a 3 year hiatus to Montana while finishing his Law Degree (just what the world needs, right?) Todd Golberg has returned to the Tri-Cities and will be instructing at Undersea Adventures beginning in October!
“I've really missed the diving community in the Tri-Cities and look forward to re-acquainting with friends and associates…” He explained recently, “and after having taught for a few different dive stores in the past few years- I can tell you that Undersea Adventures unequivocally provides only the highest quality of SCUBA education… which means safe and therefore fun diving. I'm really excited to be back!”
