About Scuba Club Cozumel
Located on the waterfront one mile south of the downtown ferry dock, an attractive multi-level building of Spanish-Colonial architecture blends in with the waterfront. No hype. No pretensions. You probably wouldn't know about us unless someone told you. That's how divers find their way here.
Built in 1976 as Cozumel's first dedicated diver's resort, Scuba Club Cozumel is still a very intimate place where Cozumel Aficionados find convenience and good value. Designed and built — by divers for divers — to provide all services in one convenient place. The resort is private, safe and secluded from the crowds you'll find downtown, but is still close enough to walk to town.
The courtyard area is rich with tropical plants adorned with local stone carvings and exotic flowers. There are
only 61 rooms, finished in tile and stucco. Each has individual character with a
feel of Mexican heritage. All rooms have a private terrace and are
air-conditioned. SCUBA-Cozumel,
a 5-Star Dive Shop is conveniently located on the premises. Across the
street in a small annex, there is a well-stocked retail dive shop as well as a
gift shop.
Divers board the boats every morning from our large private pier. Guests can also enjoy shallow diving and snorkeling right in front of the resort. Things are usually very quiet during the day. Non-divers have the beach and the swimming pool to themselves or
they might decide to relax with a book in a swinging hammock under the shade of
a beach palapa.
The "Fat Grouper Grill" awaits the return of hungry divers. Both restaurants operate on schedules based on diving activites so you never have to worry about waiting around or making a reservation.
From the roof-top patio guests enjoy a beautiful view of Cozumel's blue water.
